A mechanic of Brazilian nationality, who worked as an auto body repairman, was shot dead on the morning of this Monday (18) in the María Victoria neighborhood of Pedro Juan Caballero, Amambay Department. According to the forensic inspection report, the victim sustained 10 bullet impacts, fired from a 5.56 mm caliber rifle and a 9 mm pistol.
The crime occurred when the victim was heading to his workplace. The authorities have not yet identified those responsible nor clarified the dynamics of the attack. The Public Prosecutor's Office and the National Police continue with the evidence collection and expert analysis phase.
The forensic report details that the injuries were distributed across various parts of the body, highlighting the violence of the attack. The case has caused commotion in the region, known for its proximity to the Brazilian border and for recording frequent episodes of violence.
