The Expo Nacional de Otoño Brangus 2026, held from May 6 to 11 at the Campo de Exposiciones of the Asociación Rural del Paraguay (ARP), concluded with record-breaking commercial results, according to a report by El Nacional. Organized by the Asociación de Criadores de Brangus del Paraguay (ACBP), the event generated 6.3 billion guaraníes in revenue, more than doubling initial projections for auctions including the Ternerazo, Junior de Alta Selección, and Reproductores de Campo y de Bozal.
The highest price paid was 300 million guaraníes for a bozal breeder, one of the top valuations in the expo’s history. The strong demand was driven by producers seeking high-quality genetics to improve and rebuild herds, the ACBP noted.
ACBP President Guillermo Sisul stated, “The producer is betting on growth and rebuilding herds with quality genetics. That was clearly seen in the level of bidding and the values achieved.” The event featured 835 animals from 103 cabañas competing in categories for ternerazo, junior alta selección, and field and bozal breeders.
Judge Raúl Appleyard highlighted the genetic progress observed in the ring, noting that the breed is undergoing a period of great evolution with functional, adapted, and high-quality animals.
