Uruguayan artist Horacio Guimaraens opens this Tuesday, May 19, the solo exhibition Les coupoles de Paris at the Galeria de Arte com Aroma Café, located at the corner of Humaitá and Colón streets in Asunción. The vernissage for guests takes place at 7:30 p.m., and the show is open to the public from Wednesday, May 20, through June 1, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Inspired by French architecture and the most representative monuments of Paris, Guimaraens presents a series of works depicting ten iconic domes of the French capital, using large-format acrylic on canvas. Among the pieces are representations of the domes of Sacré-Cœur, the Paris Opera, the Panthéon, Les Invalides, and Saint-Augustin, as well as other emblematic buildings.

The artistic proposal highlights the painter's characteristic style, called architectural realism, which seeks to capture details, forms, and perspectives of these historic monuments through a contemporary pictorial gaze. The exhibition also underscores the universal impact of Parisian architecture, whose influences can be observed in Paraguay, such as in the National Pantheon of Heroes.

The Galeria de Arte com Aroma Café maintains throughout 2026 a schedule of cultural activities and art exhibitions in its space in the Paraguayan capital, promoting the dissemination of national creators and their works.
