In celebration of the 215th anniversary of Paraguay's independence, the Museo de Economía, part of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), will open its doors to the public on Thursday, May 14, and Saturday, May 16, 2026. According to El Nacional, the museum, located at the intersection of Palma and Chile streets in Asunción, will be open on Thursday from 12:00 to 00:00 hours and on Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 hours.
The exhibition features historical objects, documents, photographs, and narratives that trace Paraguay's economic evolution from early commercial and financial processes to contemporary economic aspects. The museum also incorporates digital interactive elements and virtual reality, offering visitors a dynamic and immersive experience of the country's economic history and development.
This initiative is part of a broader cultural program promoted by the Paraguayan government during the national holidays, aiming to create spaces for engagement with history, art, and national heritage.
