Young man loses control of pickup truck after tire blowout and hits tree on Avenida Médicos del Chaco

A traffic accident on the morning of this Monday (18) left a 22-year-old young man injured on Avenida Médicos del Chaco in Asunción. The driver lost control of the vehicle after a tire blowout and collided with a tree on the median strip, being rescued and taken to the Trauma Hospital.

A traffic accident was recorded around 5:30 a.m. this Monday (18) on Avenida Médicos del Chaco, almost at the corner with Haydee Santamaría Street, in Asunción. The driver, Arnaldo Andrés Díaz Rolón, 22, lost control of his pickup truck after one of the tires blew out and collided with a tree on the median strip, leaving the vehicle overturned.

According to preliminary information, the young man was heading towards the city of Fernando de la Mora, where he works, when the incident occurred. With the impact, the tree fell completely onto the road. The driver was rescued by bystanders and taken to the Trauma Hospital for detailed medical evaluation, although he apparently did not have serious injuries.

Assistant Officer Alfredo González, from the Seventh Metropolitan Police Station, reported that upon arriving at the scene, the driver was lucid. The accident was reported to the 911 emergency system by a local resident. The procedure was handled by agents of the Seventh Metropolitan Police Station.
