The Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) issued a special warning this Saturday, May 16, at 6:56 p.m., due to the development of storm nuclei over the north of the Eastern Region and sectors of the Paraguayan Chaco. The alert forecasts rain with moderate to severe electrical storms, accompanied by moderate to strong wind gusts and occasional hail.
The report highlights that the occurrence of isolated severe weather phenomena in the coming hours cannot be ruled out. The coverage area includes the north of the Eastern Region, as well as the east and northeast of the Western Region. The affected departments are: southern Concepción, central and northern San Pedro, Amambay, eastern Presidente Hayes, and central and southern Alto Paraguay.
The DMH recommends that the public stay alert to official updates and take necessary precautions in the face of possible severe weather events.
