19-year-old detained in Encarnación suspected of residential burglaries

Ronny Arnaldo García González, 19, was arrested in a wooded area behind Padre Kreusser School in the San Pedro neighborhood after being identified by security cameras and social media. With him, police found food, footwear, and a portable radio, allegedly stolen in different incidents. The court ordered his detention while investigations continue.

Officers from the 106th Police Station in the San Pedro neighborhood of Encarnación arrested on Monday (17) the young man Ronny Arnaldo García González, 19, suspected of involvement in home burglaries. The arrest occurred during a police sweep in a wooded area located behind Padre Kreusser School, in the same region.

According to the police report, García González was recognized by his physical characteristics and the clothes he was wearing, which matched images from security cameras provided by one of the victims and later shared on social media by a local news page.

At the time of the approach, officers found with the suspect various objects that, according to the investigation, had been stolen in different incidents registered both in the area of the 106th Police Station and the 59th Santa María Police Station. Among the recovered items are two whole pizzas to bake, two dozen empanadas, two kilograms of meat, a pair of Nike sneakers, a pair of Vizzano women's shoes, and a green camouflage portable radio.

After identification, the officers proceeded to arrest the young man, informing him of his constitutional rights before taking him to the police station for legal proceedings. The case was reported to prosecutor Giovanna Vera, who ordered that García González remain detained at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office while investigations continue.
