Constructecnia closes 26th edition with 25,000 visitors and business roundtable exceeding expectations

The international construction fair held at the Conmebol Convention Center ends this Sunday with free admission, bringing together around 900 brands and more than 200 companies. Organizers highlight surpassing business roundtable targets and the event's role as a showcase of innovation for the sector.

The 26th edition of Constructecnia, the International Fair of Equipment, Machinery and Materials for Construction, closes its activities this Sunday at the Conmebol Convention Center in Asunción. With free admission, the event welcomed approximately 25,000 visitors over four days.

Around 900 brands and more than 200 companies occupied about 300 stands, turning the fair into a platform for business, innovation and debate on Paraguay's economic, real estate and industrial future. The program included conferences, technical training and panels with authorities and representatives from the public and private sectors.

Edgar Robinson, director of Paraguay Eventos y Emprendimientos, said that a large number of visitors attended the event from the first day. "We presented three simultaneous auditoriums with interesting topics and had an exhibition hall with local and international companies, which gives us satisfaction because that was precisely the reason when we started this," he stated.

One of the highlights was the business roundtable, which far exceeded initial projections. Cristian Ojeda, marketing manager of the organization, reported that more than 150 exhibitors and 26 construction companies made business contacts. Among the topics discussed in the auditoriums were public works financing in a context of fiscal restraint, energy sustainability, social housing, mining and the recovery of historic urban centers.

The fair received declarations of national, touristic, institutional and academic interest from the National Tourism Secretariat (Senatur), the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Art (FADA), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) and the Chamber of Deputies.

Engineer Paul Sarubbi, president of the Paraguayan Road Chamber (Cavialpa), praised the fair's evolution. "Every year I say, and one more year, Constructecnia surpasses itself," he said, highlighting the quality of the organization and the comfort of the pavilions. "Surprising what we came to see here: the number of exhibitors, how well organized it is," he added.

Sarubbi also emphasized the fair's value as a showcase of sector innovation, with new materials, services, technologies and construction elements. Regarding the role of new generations, he expressed optimism about the tools available today, such as access to information and artificial intelligence. "Everyone who comes here will leave with much more knowledge than they had before entering," he concluded.

This Sunday, the Conmebol Convention Center operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The closing program includes the exhibition "Notable Historical Architects of Paraguay," the Expo Notable (FADA), the Expo Architects and a technical update lecture by the Santa María del Rosario Higher Technical Institute.
