On Friday, the 23-year-old defeated Belgium's Zizou Bergs, ranked 39th in the world, with a commanding 6‑4, 6‑3 victory in 83 minutes, according to El Nacional.

Vallejo, Paraguay's top-ranked male player, displayed consistent baseline play and capitalized on crucial points to overcome his top‑40 opponent. This is his first semifinal appearance at a Challenger 175 event and the 14th Challenger semifinal of his career, as well as the 23rd semifinal overall across all levels.

Vallejo will face the winner of the match between Pablo Carreño Busta and Jaume Munar for a spot in the final.
