The former director of the Animal Care and Protection Commission of the National Congress, Rocío Ojeda, reported being dismissed on April 17 without the initiation of an administrative process or formal justification, despite being a carrier of multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. According to her, the dismissal occurred without access to the case file or the possibility of defense, and her requests for reconsideration were ignored.
Ojeda stated that her position will be occupied by Víctor Hugo González, identified as a political operator of Senator Rocío Abed. The appointment, according to the former employee, was driven by this political sector, which generated criticism about alleged partisan criteria in the distribution of administrative positions in the Legislature.
The complainant reported that she continued to show up for work during the notice period, but without receiving specific duties, a situation she classified as “labor vulnerability” and institutional disrespect. She highlighted the strong impact of the measure on her professional and personal life, especially due to her health condition and length of service at the institution.
It is important to note that the allegations of political interference have not been independently corroborated and reflect only the complainant’s claims.
