Las Residentas Corridor Viaduct Works Alter Traffic on Silvio Pettirossi Avenue Until May 26

Foundation work for the pillars of the future Las Residentas Corridor viaduct in Luque causes detours on the Silvio Pettirossi highway between General Aquino Avenue and Ñu Guasu. The closures are expected to last until May 26, subject to weather conditions.

Drivers traveling on Silvio Pettirossi Avenue in Luque should pay extra attention this week. Since Monday, May 18, teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) have begun constructing the foundation cables for the pillars of the future Las Residentas Corridor viaduct, requiring temporary detours on the stretch between General Aquino Avenue and Ñu Guasu Park.

In the direction of Asunción, vehicles are diverted to the side lanes, bypassing the work area and returning to the usual roadway afterward. In the direction of Luque, traffic flows on an adjacent lane, with properly marked lanes. Drivers are advised to leave earlier to compensate for possible delays.

The work is scheduled until May 26, but the timeline may be extended if rains delay the works. The project aims to ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time in the metropolitan area of Asunción.
