The Itapúa Department of Investigations arrested Flaminio Franco, 38, suspected of participating in an aggravated robbery in Bella Vista. During the operation in Trinidad, a bandolier, a pair of jeans, and two cell phones were seized. Franco also had an arrest warrant for aggravated theft.

The Itapúa Department of Investigations carried out a search and seizure warrant on Tuesday morning at a residence in the Villa Santa María neighborhood in Trinidad, resulting in the arrest of Flaminio Franco, 38, suspected of involvement in the aggravated robbery that occurred on May 12 in Bella Vista.

The operation was authorized by the criminal guarantees judge of Colonias Unidas, Miguel Óscar López, and included the participation of prosecutor Héctor Garay from Unit No. 2 Zonal of Colonias Unidas. During the operation, agents found Franco inside the property and immediately detained him.

Among the items seized are a black Fashion brand bandolier, a pair of light jeans — clothing that, according to the investigation, was used during the robbery — and two Redmi brand cell phones. Police also reported that Franco was already the subject of an arrest warrant for aggravated theft in another case.

The robbery victim, Marcelino Aquino Duarte Bogado, 64, lives in the Niño Jesús neighborhood in Bella Vista. Police were able to identify the suspect through security camera footage, even after the criminals took the system's DVR. Investigations continue to locate other possible involved parties.
