Paraguay's Mother's Day on Friday, May 15, 2026, will feature a mix of fresh morning conditions and warm afternoon temperatures, with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in parts of the country, according to the Dirección de Meteorología e Hidrología (DMH).

As reported by ABC Color, Última Hora, and El Nacional, the DMH forecast calls for a fresh start to the day across most of Paraguay, turning warm by the afternoon. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius in both the Eastern and Western regions (the Chaco).

The sky will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, with winds predominantly from the southeast, contributing to a pleasant feel, especially during the morning hours.

Regarding precipitation, the DMH predicts scattered showers accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, particularly in the northern and eastern sectors of both regions. For the rest of the country, the probability of rain remains low, as noted by ABC Color and Última Hora.

The agencies also indicate that the fresh-to-warm conditions will persist into Saturday, May 16, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possibly affecting a larger portion of the territory. By Sunday, a new drop in temperatures is expected, with highs likely not exceeding 20°C in much of the country, according to El Nacional and Última Hora.

Authorities recommend that those planning outdoor family gatherings stay alert to sudden weather changes, especially in areas where storms may develop.
