Images shared on social media show the aircraft colliding and falling, with a large plume of smoke. Several crew members managed to deploy their parachutes before impact. Emergency teams were mobilized immediately.

The base, which hosts the Air Force's 366th Fighter Wing — known as the Gunfighters — announced that its facilities will remain closed until further notice. There is still no official information on the number of injured or the health status of those involved. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the collision.
