Paraguay has a new digital commerce option with the launch of Zappy, a dropselling platform built by Paraguayan engineers with national capital. The event took place at the BMW Owners Hub in Asunción, as reported by Ultima Hora.
Zappy is described as the first local platform for dropselling, an e-commerce model where the seller acts as an intermediary: they create an online store, promote products, and after a sale, the supplier ships directly to the customer. This eliminates the need for the seller to maintain their own inventory.
The platform is driven by entrepreneur Ivar Sosa, known for his work in digital business, marketing, and online education, with a community of over 10,000 students. Attendees at the launch included Juan Vinci, Livia Melgarejo, Ángeles Cardozo, Leonardo Martínez, Yolanda Armoa, José Barros, Jemima Fornerón, Ernesto Niveyro, Édgar Insfrán, Luis Cardozo, Jeremías Samaniego, Jessica Armoa, and Daniel González.
