Paraguayan women's futsal kicks off the 2026 season this Tuesday, May 19, with the first two matches of the Campeonato Apertura. Four clubs make up the competition, which will have a three-phase system.

At 8:30 p.m., in the Tacumbú neighborhood, current champion Sport Colonial hosts Universidad Americana. Following that, at 9:00 p.m., at the school sports hall in Barrio San Pablo, Exa Ysaty faces Tte. Rojas Silva.

The regulations provide for a first phase of a single round, with all teams facing each other over three rounds. The top four advance to the semifinals, which will be played in a single match: 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd. In case of a tie in regulation time, the spot in the final will be decided by the best record in the initial phase.

The grand final will be a single match. If there is a tie, there will be a 10-minute extra time (two periods of 5 minutes). If the tie persists, the decision goes to penalties.
