Ab Ovo Returns to Stage with 'Reconexión & Reintegro' in Asunción

The historic Paraguayan humor-music group Ab Ovo is back with three performances of their new show 'Reconexión & Reintegro' at the Teatro del Hotel Guaraní, featuring satire, music, and a special guest host.

After a successful return to the stage that earned praise from audiences and critics alike, the iconic Paraguayan humor-music group Ab Ovo has announced additional performances of their show Reconexión & Reintegro. According to Ultima Hora, the group will perform from today through Sunday at the Teatro del Hotel Guaraní in Asunción.

With 38 years of history, founding members Tony Apuril, Tito Ibarrola, and Víctor Carlos Irala reunite on stage. The show aims to recapture the group's signature style: intelligent humor, irony, music, and a critical eye on Paraguayan society. This edition features special guest host Raúl Daumas, along with cast members Rolando Acosta and Sergio Sánchez.

Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 21:00, and Sunday at 20:00. The venue, known for its infrastructure and technology, is one of Asunción's premier theatrical spaces, well-suited for the production's dynamic nature.

Reconexión & Reintegro marks a reunion between Ab Ovo and their audience after a creative hiatus, inviting spectators to “plug back in” to national reality through the group's classic satirical lens. The experience begins in the lobby, where surprises await, setting the tone for an interactive and participatory show. Sketches draw from everyday situations and current events, appealing to fans of critical humor and social parody.
