Six of the ten worst ecosystems for entrepreneurship in the world are in Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2025/2026. The region generates many entrepreneurs, but few survive due to structural barriers such as insufficient access to financing and poor entrepreneurial education.
