Paraguay's Ministry of Public Health has issued health guidelines for fans traveling to the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The main recommendation is to keep measles and influenza vaccinations up to date, with special attention to the minimum two-week window for the measles vaccine.

PAI director Luis Cousirat confirmed the arrival of 100,000 doses of the updated-formula Moderna vaccine for the first week of June. Administration will begin immediately, focusing on people over 60, those with chronic diseases, and travelers. The announcement comes as the country records a 10% increase in influenza-like illness consultations and an 11% rise in hospitalizations for severe acute respiratory infections.
Paraguay's Ministry of Health has vaccinated more than 420,000 children aged 1 to 5 against measles and rubella, reaching 90% of the national target. While Ñeembucú and Paraguarí achieved 100% coverage, the departments of Central, Asunción and Alto Paraná register the lowest rates, between 83% and 85%, threatening herd immunity. The campaign ends on May 29.
