The Vice Ministry of Transport (VMT) has officially launched the Integral Control and Monitoring System (SICM), which monitors bus frequency and routes in real time in the metropolitan area. The technology cross-references GPS data with electronic ticketing validations and has already detected an increase in the number of vehicles running during peak hours. Companies that violate the rules will be fined, with a three-month partial tolerance period before full enforcement of Resolution 120/2025.
