Petropar has begun the 2026 sugarcane harvest at its alcohol plant in Mauricio José Troche, keeping the price at G. 245,000 per tonne and adding an extra G. 5,000 bonus. The new milling tandem project, however, remains halted by a court injunction, forcing the state company to turn to private mills if the old equipment fails.
