The Paraguayan Federation of Timber Producers (Fepama) officially announced the holding of Expo Madera Paraguay 2026, which will take place from September 10 to 12 at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee. With 76 years of representation in the sector, the entity promotes the sixth edition of the fair under the motto “Forests in expansion, industries with value”. The event is co-organized by the Center for Business Cooperation and Industrial Development.
According to the organization, Paraguay currently has more than 380,000 hectares of forest plantations dedicated to productive and industrial development, positioning itself as one of the emerging markets with the greatest potential for expansion in the region. The fair takes place at a time of strong growth in the sector, driven by increased plantations, new private investments, and greater international projection of the national industry.
In addition to timber production, the forestry sector is consolidating as a driver of formal employment and territorial development, especially in areas with a strong presence of plantations and wood processing industries. Expo Madera 2026 will seek to highlight this economic impact, showing how forestry activity can generate added value through industries associated with construction, architecture, engineering, industrial design, and manufacturing of wood-derived products.
Another central axis of the event will be sustainability and responsible management of forest resources, meeting the growing demands of international markets regarding traceability and certification of origin. The organization highlights the strategic role of forest plantations as a renewable source of raw material and as a tool to promote efficient land use and contribute to climate change mitigation.
The fair will also serve as a space for connection between companies, investors, producers, and suppliers in the forestry-industrial sector. The organization reported that preferential locations are already available for exhibiting companies interested in participating.
