Silvino Gayoso Found Dead in Patio; Police Investigate Homicide in Presidente Franco

A 31-year-old man with a criminal record and under house arrest was found dead in the patio of his home in Presidente Franco. Authorities are investigating the homicide, which occurred in the Santa Librada settlement.

Authorities in Presidente Franco are investigating the homicide of Silvino Gayoso, 31, whose body was discovered in the patio of his home on Friday, May 15, 2026, according to ABC Color. The residence is located at km 11 in the Santa Librada settlement.

Police responding to the scene observed wounds and blood on the victim's face and head, believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon. Gayoso had a prior criminal record and was under house arrest for aggravated robbery and attempted homicide at the time of his death.

A neighbor found the body and alerted officers from Subcomisaría 56ª. No other individuals were present in the home, and neighbors reported hearing nothing unusual. The motive and circumstances of the crime remain unknown.

The case has been referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office, and personnel from Criminalistics and Homicide units are collecting evidence.
