Horqueta Hospital Regains Own Water Supply After Years of Inactivity

The District Hospital of Horqueta has regained its own water supply after the rehabilitation of its artesian well, which had been inactive for several years. The work was made possible through efforts by Deputy Arturo Urbieta with the National Environmental Sanitation Service (SENASA).

The District Hospital of Horqueta, in the department of Concepción, has reestablished its own water supply system after the recovery of the unit's artesian well, which had been inactive for years. The reactivation ensures essential supply for patients, medical staff, and the general functioning of the healthcare center.

The repair and comprehensive maintenance work was carried out by the National Environmental Sanitation Service (SENASA), following efforts by national deputy Arturo Urbieta. Among the interventions performed, the replacement of the pumping system motor stood out, a component that was damaged and prevented the continuous flow of water.

According to the hospital management, the improvement resolves a long-standing need that compromised the quality of healthcare in the region. With the recovery of the well, the unit regains its water autonomy and strengthens hygiene and care conditions in all sectors.
