A homicide in the early hours of Friday has shaken the Uj'e Lhavos indigenous community in Filadelfia, Paraguay. According to 1000 Noticias, officers from the 1st Police Station found 23-year-old Francisco Colmán Acosta with a severe chest wound. He was rushed to the Hospital Materno Infantil de Villa Choferes del Chaco, where director Dr. Maribel Valdovinos confirmed he arrived without vital signs.
The case was reported to prosecutor Abg. Milena Basualdo and forensic doctor Dr. Dani Villanueva. Criminalistics personnel led by Officer 1st Lic. Oscar Gill conducted the scene investigation. The medical-legal diagnosis determined the cause of death was hypovolemic shock from a stab wound to the left thoracic region.
A rapid operation by the Filadelfia Citizen Security Division, coordinated by Sub-Officer Principal Javier Mendoza, led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator. The suspect, identified as Esteban Ariel Insfrán Cambista, 24, also resides in the same community. He was transferred to the 3rd Police Station in Loma Plata, where he remains in custody at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
By order of the prosecutor's office, Acosta's body was handed over to his mother after the forensic procedures. Authorities continue investigating the background of the altercation.
