Electoral Justice Intensifies Verification of Ballot Boxes for Internal Elections on June 7

Paraguay's Electoral Justice has already verified 3,928 ballot boxes for the simultaneous internal elections on June 7, focusing on materials and documents. The process continues until May 20, covering all departments, while municipal elections are scheduled for October 4, 2026.

Paraguay's Electoral Justice is advancing with the control and verification work of the materials that will be used in the simultaneous internal elections of political organizations, scheduled for next June 7. So far, 3,928 ballot boxes have undergone the internal verification process of materials, utensils, and documents intended for polling stations.

The tasks are carried out by employees of the Directorates of Electoral Resources and Electoral Logistics, within the framework of the technical and logistical support offered by the Electoral Justice to political organizations that requested this assistance. According to the official report, verification has already been fully completed for the departments of Alto Paraná, Itapúa, San Pedro, Concepción, and Alto Paraguay.

Currently, work continues with materials from the department of Caaguazú and will later cover the remaining departments of the country. The verification process will extend until next May 20, according to the electoral schedule established for the 2026 Municipal Elections.

The Electoral Justice also reminded that municipal elections will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, when citizens will elect mayors and members of the Municipal Boards for the 2026-2031 term.
