President Santiago Peña declared on Thursday, after the Te Deum for national holidays, that "the best for relations between Paraguay and Brazil is yet to come," emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral ties and the influx of foreign investment, according to El Nacional.
The president described the day as "historic" for Brazilian investors, noting the presence of more than 500 businesspeople from Brazil interested in opportunities in Paraguay. Peña said this flow confirms growing international interest and reinforces his strategy of economic openness.
"Paraguay is a message of brotherhood, friendship, and historical ties that have grown in recent years," he stated. Peña highlighted his work on strengthening the relationship with Brazil and noted the large and expanding community of Brazilian immigrants in Paraguay.
The head of state reiterated that Paraguay aims to consolidate itself as an attractive investment destination, offering development opportunities for both foreigners and Paraguayans. He concluded with an optimistic outlook: "We believe that the best of our relations between Paraguay and Brazil is yet to come."
