The Mariano Roque Alonso Municipal Board released a report on the current legislative period this Monday, highlighting actions in citizen training, security, transport, social welfare, and education. According to the report, over 2,000 people took part in entrepreneurship courses and workshops, held in partnership with private instructors and the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP), in various neighborhoods of the city. The initiative enabled many participants to start their own businesses and generate income for their families.
In the area of security, more than 30 closed-circuit cameras were installed in coordination with organized residents, aiming to strengthen prevention and increase community peace of mind. In public transport, after years of complaints, the Municipal Board worked with the Vice Ministry of Transport to reactivate intercity routes 40 and 35, considered essential for the city's connectivity.
Community outreach days served over 1,000 people, offering medical consultations, basic services, and social support to vulnerable sectors. Vaccination and animal sterilization campaigns were also carried out, focusing on public health and responsible pet care. In education, more than 500 young people received scholarships, aiming to expand access to education as a development tool.
The president of the Municipal Board, Mirtita Salinas, noted that since 2021, 313 draft resolutions have been submitted, along with ordinance projects and information requests, to channel the population's demands and improve municipal services.
