At the CARDIF 1 stadium in Luque, Nacional/Humaitá and Guaraní drew 1-1 on Monday afternoon (18th), in the 8th round of the 2026 Women's Annual Tournament. The referee was Teresita Ojeda.
Guaraní opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a goal from Agustina Varela. The aurinegra team had chances to extend the lead but was stopped by Nacional/Humaitá's defense, especially the interventions of goalkeeper Lia Insfran, and also by poor finishing. In the second half, the tricolores reacted and equalized in the 82nd minute through Liliana Vázquez. In the final minutes, Nacional/Humaitá almost turned the game around but wasted the chances created.
With the result, Nacional/Humaitá earned its first draw in the competition and has 13 points, occupying 5th place. Guaraní, coached by Claudio David Vargas, records its second draw and remains in 3rd place with 17 points in seven games, three behind leader Libertad (20). The team missed the chance to take sole leadership, as it still has a postponed game against Olimpia from the 1st round.
In the next round (9th), Guaraní will face Cerro Porteño, while Nacional/Humaitá will take on Trinidense. Dates, stadiums, and times are yet to be defined.
