PAM Hotels Doubles Down on Paraguayan Market with Tailored Caribbean Experiences

PAM Hotels is expanding its offerings for Paraguayan travelers, reporting a 50% increase in visitors to the Caribbean over two years. The chain highlights personalized travel, destination weddings, and new properties like AVA Resort Cancun and a future UNICO hotel in Jamaica.

Paraguay has emerged as a key market for Caribbean tourism, with hotel chain PAM Hotels reporting a nearly 50% surge in Paraguayan travelers to the region over the past two years, according to executives speaking to Ultima Hora. Punta Cana remains the top destination, but new air routes and tailored packages are broadening options.

“Today, Paraguayans seek much more than traditional vacations. They want personalized experiences, wellness, entertainment, and memorable trips,” said Dora Luna, PAM Hotels’ sales and marketing manager. The company is rolling out exclusive promotions and customized stays through wholesale and retail agencies to cater to this demand.

Among the most popular properties for Paraguayan guests is the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, an all-inclusive resort with over 1,700 rooms, multiple pools, and extensive dining and entertainment. PAM Hotels is also promoting its own brands, including AVA Resort Cancun—a sustainable luxury resort with solar panels and a Crystal Lagoon—and UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya, an adults-only option focused on sophistication and local culture.

Franchised properties like Nobu Hotels in Los Cabos and Miami, developed with chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro, as well as Residence Inn by Marriott, are also part of the portfolio. Paraguay currently ranks eighth in the chain’s Latin American sales, reflecting growing local interest in premium beach experiences.

Destination weddings are a fast-growing segment. “It’s not just a party, but several days of shared experiences with family and friends,” noted Josefina de Zan, commercial director. PAM Hotels offers comprehensive packages for symbolic and legal ceremonies, with perks based on guest count.

New destinations are gaining traction. A recently launched air route between Panama and Los Cabos opens up this Mexican destination combining sea, desert, and exclusivity. PAM Hotels also confirmed a new UNICO Hotel Collection property in Jamaica, set to open in 2027.

Current promotions include free stays for children up to 17 years old at AVA Resort Cancun throughout the year. The executives encouraged travelers to consult trusted travel agencies to plan personalized experiences.
