Paraguay Takes 47 Swimmers to Olympic Hopes Tournament in Chile

The Paraguayan delegation, comprising 47 athletes and support staff, will compete in the 2nd South American Olympic Hopes Tournament in Santiago from May 22 to 24, aiming to strengthen youth categories.

The Paraguayan Aquatic Sports Federation announced the official list of 47 swimmers who will represent the country at the 2nd South American Olympic Hopes Tournament, held from May 22 to 24 in Santiago, Chile. The competition brings together young swimming talent from the continent and aims to boost sports development in the region.

Among the selected women are Kiara Acosta, Fiorella Páez, Giovanna Gamarra, Giovanna Alcaraz, Candela Garcete, Ara Cristaldo, Paula Torres, Keren Cardozo, Martina Delorme, Luciana Ibarrola, Francieli Añasco, Constanza Aguayo, Agustina Codas, Luciana Ayala, Alexa Martínez, Emma Dyck, and Fátima Acuña. Also on the team are Alethia Amarilla, Martina Barboza, Valentina Alcaraz, María Paz Ramírez, Martina Laguardia, and María Paz Benítez.

In the men's category, the selected swimmers are Gerard Espínola, Bautista Verdún, Luca Bóveda, Leandro Veloso, Thadeo López, Facundo Ovelar, Facundo Escurra, Augusto Vidal, Bruno Brítez, Bruno Herrera, Bruno Bartolozzi, Mathias Arce, Tadeo Balbuena, Elías Cañete, Johan Eisenkolbl, Alan Coronel, Nicholas Pont, Gianluca Pascuali, Mauricio Delvalle, Santiago Torres, Lucas Lezcano, Ian Morán, Carlos Franco, and Teo Saldívar.

The technical team is led by delegate Rodrigo Aguayo, accompanied by physician Hugo Martínez. The designated coaches are María Belén Garcete, Ruth Pucciarelli, Juan Andrés Brítez, and Henry Jaimes.

Paraguay seeks to consolidate the growth of its youth categories in a tournament that brings together the top prospects of South American swimming.
