The National Police of Paraguay detected nearly two kilograms of suspected cocaine hidden in two bottles of hair products inside a parcel bound for Madrid, Spain. The package was intercepted at a transport company in Asunción during an operation by the Anti-Drug Intelligence Division, under the Action Plan Against Drug Abuse (SUMAR). The substance, with a total weight of 1.976 kg, underwent a preliminary test with a positive result for cocaine. The case was referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.

In another incident, in Ciudad del Este, a man was detained while attempting to bring 322.8 grams of marijuana into the city's Detention Center. The drug was hidden inside pumpkins, cabbages, and onions, distributed in ten packages. The detainee, identified as Sebastián Javier Dávalos Arzamendia, 35, was carrying the vegetables allegedly intended for an inmate. Female staff in the inspection sector discovered the load during a routine check. The case was handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office specialized in drug trafficking.

For the first time at Puente de la Integración, which connects Presidente Franco to Foz do Iguaçu, a shipment of marijuana was intercepted. A scanner from the National Directorate of Tax Revenue (DNIT) detected 304.3 kg of "Premium" type marijuana, hidden in 120 packages in the roof of a truck. The driver, Fernando Andrés Delgado Vera, 38, stated he was hired by someone from Ciudad del Este to take the empty vehicle to Brazil, unaware of the drugs. He said he would receive 500,000 guaranis for the service. The seized marijuana has a high THC concentration, between 15% and 20%, and its value is estimated at around 4.2 million dollars.
