Paraguay celebrated its 215th Independence Day on May 14 with a traditional military parade along the Costanera Norte in Asunción, in front of the Palacio de López. President Santiago Peña attended the event, which began around 10:00 a.m., according to Última Hora.

The parade featured approximately 3,000 participants, including 2,400 military personnel and 600 police officers. The Army displayed 18 tactical trucks, six Humvees, six Cascabel tanks, and six Urutau tanks. The Navy also participated, and the Air Force showcased four Super Tucano and four Tucano aircraft, alongside C-212, C-208, T-35, and UH-1H planes. The Super Tucano aircraft were highlighted as a new attraction this year.

Thousands of families lined the Costanera, waving the national colors of red, white, and blue. Military dogs also drew attention during the procession. The parade concluded with the police contingent marching past the official reviewing stand.
