The Pastoral Communications (Pascom) of the Archdiocese of Asunción is holding the sixth edition of the 'Communicate in the Church' workshop this Saturday, May 23. The meeting will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Bento XVI Hall of the Metropolitan Seminary in Asunción, with free admission.
This year's central theme is 'Pastoral Communications: Its Importance and the Need for a Synodal Renewal.' The activity is aimed at Catholic communicators, communication and related field students, those responsible for social media in parishes, movements, and groups, as well as bishops, priests, deacons, religious, seminarians, and pastoral workers in general.
Two facilitators will lead the reflections. Religious Brother Paulino P. Ricardo González, SSP, local director of the Society of Saint Paul in Paraguay, with training in Communication, Anthropology, Religious Sciences, and Theology, will address the topic 'Importance and Need for Pastoral Communications in the Church.' Clinical psychologist Fabio Servín, a professor of the Affection and Spiritual Discernment course at the Institute of Religious Life – CONFERPAR since 2023 and coordinator and trainer of the Archdiocese's Pastoral Care, will develop the topic 'A New Pastoral for a New Communication.'
The organization recommends that participants bring a notebook, tablet, or other electronic device for the planned practical activities. Participation is free and open to all.
