Family Pleads for Return of Autistic Girl's Emotional Support Dog Stolen in San Antonio

Liz Torres reports the theft of Matrix, a German shepherd who serves as emotional support for her 7-year-old daughter Cloe, who has autism. The crime occurred in San Antonio, in the Central department, and was captured by security cameras. The family asks for help locating the animal.

A family in San Antonio is in despair after the theft of Matrix, a German shepherd who is the main emotional support for Cloe, a 7-year-old girl diagnosed with autism. The mother, Liz Torres, made a public appeal for the animal to be returned, stressing that the child has fallen into a depressive crisis and is refusing to eat since losing her companion.

The crime occurred on Sunday around 4:59 p.m., when a pair in a car parked on the roadside. One suspect got out, crossed the road, managed to calm the dog, and forced it into the vehicle before fleeing. Security camera footage captured the action.

A report was filed with authorities, but identifying those responsible is difficult because the vehicle's license plate does not match the current owner — the car was recently resold without proper title transfer. The family asks that any information about Matrix's whereabouts be reported by phone at 0972 247 023.
