SENAD agents eradicated approximately 18 tons of marijuana and dismantled two camps used for drug production in Bella Vista Norte, in the department of Amambay, following an operation carried out in the area known as Cascada.

Agents from the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD) eradicated approximately 18 tons of marijuana and dismantled two camps used for drug production in Bella Vista Norte, in the department of Amambay. The operation took place in the area known as Cascada, where an extensive illicit plantation was located.

The raid was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, following intelligence and geolocation work that made it possible to identify the area used for cultivation. Upon entering the site, agents found a plot of approximately six hectares with marijuana plants in the growth phase, which were completely destroyed.

In addition to eradicating the plants, two makeshift camps that served as logistical support for drug cultivation and processing activities in the region were dismantled. The operation was overseen by prosecutor Celso Morales and is part of SENAD's ongoing efforts to combat criminal structures linked to drug trafficking in Amambay.
