The eighth round of the 2026 Women's Annual Tournament began at the CARDIF 1 Stadium in Luque with a 1-1 draw between Sportivo Luqueño and Rubio Ñu. The result does not change the situation of the two teams, which remain in the last positions of the standings.
Sportivo Luqueño opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal from Teresa Benítez. Rubio Ñu, wearing its pink alternate kit, equalized in the second half, in the 55th minute, through Vivian Báez. The referee was Fany Martínez.
With the draw, Sportivo Luqueño, led by coach Arnaldo Molinas, earned its second draw in the competition and remains in tenth place with five points. The club still has a pending match from the first round. Rubio Ñu, meanwhile, secured its first point in the tournament, ending a streak of six consecutive defeats, and provisionally occupies second-to-last place, also with one game in hand.
In the next round, the ninth, Sportivo Luqueño will face Libertad, while Rubio Ñu will take on 2 de Mayo. The dates, stadiums, and times are yet to be determined.
