A car fire caused a scare on Monday night (19) on a busy street in the General Bernardino Caballero neighborhood of Encarnación. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Teniente Barboza Street, almost at the corner with Mariscal Estigarribia.
The vehicle, a white Hyundai I10 with license plate DAA093, had its front section engulfed in flames. The owner, Diana Silvero, told authorities that the fire may have started due to a mechanical problem.
Officers from the 1st Police Precinct of Encarnación were called after a report and found the car partially in flames. Minutes later, volunteer firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, preventing it from completely destroying the vehicle.
No one was injured, but material damage to the front of the vehicle was significant. The case was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for appropriate action.
