The Centro Cultural de la República El Cabildo received a donation on June 24 of a valuable documentary collection from the Paraguayan guitarist, composer, and concert performer Pablo Cáceres Escobar. The collection, delivered by the maestro's daughter, Selma Inés Cáceres Escobar, includes sheet music, original compositions, transcriptions, arrangements, historical photographs, biographical publications, records of musical works, and notarial documentation related to his career.

The reception ceremony took place at the Cabildo's headquarters in Asunción and was attended by the institution's director general, Aníbal Saucedo Rodas; the director of the Casas Bicentenario, Diego Sánchez Haase; and the director of Cultural Relations and Tourism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, minister Manuel Tornato Frutos, whose involvement was considered essential to enabling the transport and entry of the materials into Paraguay.

During the event, Saucedo highlighted the importance of recovering and promoting the memory of central figures in national culture and issued the challenge of organizing a conference on the life and legacy of Cáceres Escobar. The director general also announced the intention to drive the reissue of two publications connected to the universe of Agustín Barrios Mangoré: "Mangoré, el maestro que conocí" by José Roberto Bracamonte and "Agustín Barrios Mangoré, genio de la guitarra" by José Cándido Morales, with the goal of making the works available to researchers, musicians, and the interested public.

For his part, maestro Diego Sánchez Haase recalled that the process of incorporating the collection began to take shape after contact with Selma Inés Cáceres Escobar, who expressed the intention to donate all the material to the Cabildo. Born on June 22, 1900, in San José de los Arroyos, in the department of Cordillera, Pablo Cáceres Escobar dedicated his life to the guitar and maintained a close artistic and personal relationship with Agustín Barrios "Mangoré," actively contributing to the dissemination of his work. His career unfolded between Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, where he lived for much of his artistic life until his death in 1970.
