The Deputy Transport Ministry has begun monitoring bus frequency and routes using the Integrated Control and Monitoring System (SICM), which cross-references GPS data and electronic fare collection. The measure aims to curb so-called "reguladas" and will have an initial three-month phase during peak hours.
