Tragedy in Lambaré: Woman and 7-Year-Old Son Found Dead in Boarding House

Mónica Idalia González, 26, and her 7-year-old son were found dead in a boarding house in the Santa Luísa neighborhood of Lambaré. Police are investigating the hypothesis of filicide followed by suicide.

On the morning of this Sunday (17), officers from the 4th Police Station of Lambaré responded to a complaint from neighbors and found the bodies of Mónica Idalia González, 26, and her 7-year-old son inside a boarding house in the Santa Luísa neighborhood of Lambaré, Central Department.

Commissioner Sergio Ramos, head of the police unit, stated that preliminary information indicates a possible case of filicide followed by suicide. No notes or writings were found at the crime scene. The Public Prosecutor's Office will conduct an analysis of the victim's cell phone to find elements that clarify what happened.

The bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute for an autopsy, which will determine the exact cause of death. The National Police continues with the investigations.
