President Santiago Peña took to his official social media accounts on May 15 to offer a heartfelt Mother's Day greeting to Paraguayan mothers. His post included photographs showing him with his mother, Ana María Palacios, and his wife, First Lady Leticia Ocampos.
“A mother's love is something unique, unconditional, and eternal,” Peña wrote. He highlighted the influence of his mother and his wife of nearly 30 years, saying, “From my mom, Ana María, and from Leti, who came into my life when I was young and never let go of my hand, I learned everything that truly matters.”
The president concluded his message by saying, “I embrace them both, and through them, I embrace every mother in Paraguay. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers of Paraguay! Thank you for everything you give every day, with that deep love that only a mother knows how to give.”
