San José beat Olimpia Kings 79-74 on Monday night at the Armed Forces Sports Center in Asunción, in the 11th round of the National Basketball League (LNB). The match marked the 'saints' revenge after losing to the striped team in the first round at the León Coundou gymnasium.

The quarter scores were: 11-18, 34-25, 21-17, and 13-14. The visiting team started losing but rallied from the second quarter onward and secured the win in the final minutes.

Olimpia Kings captain Édgar 'Titi' Riveros was the game's top scorer with 21 points. For San José, Juniors Peralta stood out with 16 points.

With the result, San José remains in the fight for the lead, while the Kings stay at the top of the table, now tied on points with Colonias Gold, who have one game in hand. The next big matchup will be between Colonias Gold and Olimpia Kings on Thursday at the Kaá Poty gymnasium.

In another match of the round, Deportivo Amambay beat Deportivo Campoalto 69-63 at the Logistics Command.
