With temperatures dropping, the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence (MINNA) has launched Operativo Invierno 2026, a solidarity campaign aimed at collecting winter clothing, footwear, and accessories for vulnerable children and adolescents.
The initiative calls on the public to donate coats, sweaters, socks, hats, and footwear in good condition, with the goal of protecting minors during the winter season. Donations can be delivered at MINNA headquarters, located at Ayolas Street 482, near the corner with Oliva, in Asunción, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., or at any regional office of the institution.
The ministry also emphasized that in cases of children and adolescents exposed to the cold or in situations of risk, the public can call the toll-free line Fono Ayuda 147, which serves as a reporting and support channel.
