Gol will operate nonstop flights between Asunción and Florianópolis twice a week from January 5 to February 14, 2027, to meet higher summer demand.

President Santiago Peña has signed a law eliminating the minimum 6% commission that airlines paid on each ticket sold in Paraguay. The measure, approved by Congress in April, aims to reduce operating costs and lower fares, while the government resumes talks with Gol to establish a direct Asunción-Miami flight.
