San Lorenzo city government impounded four local buses during inspections after reports that companies were charging G. 3,500, above the legal limit of G. 2,800. Operators unilaterally raised the fare on May 11, citing higher fuel costs. The city says Municipal Ordinance No. 05/22 remains in force and checks will continue.
