Former Paraguayan President Nicanor Duarte Frutos stated that the presidential ticket for the Honor Colorado movement in the 2028 elections will, without a doubt, be composed of Pedro Alliana and Juan Carlos Baruja.
Duarte Frutos declared that the duo of Vice President Alliana and the current Minister of Urbanism, Housing, and Habitat (MUVH) is already taking root in the consciousness of the Colorado Party and that everything will be consolidated after the October municipal elections.
Meanwhile, Senator Carlos Liseras highlighted the growth of Honor Colorado's electoral potential, attributing the success to the leadership of also-former President Horacio Cartes, the president of the National Republican Association (ANR - Partido Colorado).
Liseras stated that the movement won in almost 240 of the country's 263 municipalities, increasing its electoral strength and demonstrating internal unity, which he called a "republican embrace."
Vice President Alliana himself had previously indicated that he would choose his running mate after the conclusion of the municipal elections, scheduled for October 4th.
