Paraguay Embassy in Germany Celebrates 215 Years of Independence with Cultural Night

The Paraguayan diplomatic representation in Berlin brought together the resident community to celebrate the 215th anniversary of National Independence with dances, live music, typical cuisine, and raffles, strengthening cultural ties.

The Embassy of Paraguay in Germany held a celebration on May 13 for the 215th anniversary of National Independence, gathering members of the Paraguayan community residing in the Germanic country for an evening marked by artistic performances and fellowship.

The event took place at the Cultural Center of the Commercial Representation of the Embassy of Taiwan and featured various cultural expressions. Dancer Marcelo Ortiz performed the work "Un sueño en la floresta," choreographed by maestro Julio Miranda, while dancer Analía Vega presented two dances that were greatly applauded. International dancer Anna Nicole Amarilla, a member of the Eirete group from London, also participated.

The evening was hosted by Germán Barbúdez, who also performed musically alongside harpist Alberto Sánchez, playing a repertoire of polkas and guarânias. Guests enjoyed typical Paraguayan dishes and took part in raffles organized during the event.

The embassy highlighted the importance of these gatherings to preserve national traditions and keep Paraguayans living abroad united.
