The city of Paraguarí, capital of Paraguay's ninth department, is preparing to welcome visitors during the winter holidays with a diverse proposal for domestic tourism. The offering combines natural landscapes, historical sites, adventure activities, and cultural experiences, catering to all ages.

The Association of Tourism Enterprises of Paraguarí (Asetupar), presided over by Alba Fernández and comprising more than 40 entrepreneurs, is the main driver of the local infrastructure, which includes inns, hotels, gastronomy, and recreational activities.

For those interested in history, the city offers the Historical and Cultural Museum of the former Carlos Antonio López Railway Station, inaugurated in 1864. The site preserves furniture, tools, and an old scale from the golden age of trains, in addition to locomotive No. 521 displayed on the original tracks.

Another historical point is the General Enrique Duarte Alder Historical Museum of Artillery, located within the Artillery Command. Inaugurated in 1979, the museum displays a collection of armaments, including pieces used in the War of the Triple Alliance and the Chaco War, such as cannons, rifles, and bayonets. It is open Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The Cerro Hũ Ecological Park is an option for connecting with nature, offering a viewpoint overlooking the hill and the Christ the Redeemer monument, as well as a children's playground. An unusual activity is the "bicirriel," which allows visitors to cycle on the old railway tracks using an adapted platform with bicycles.

The cultural program includes a "Bottle Recycling" workshop with teacher Felisa Valdez, scheduled for July 18th, starting at 1:00 PM at the Vieja Estación Ruin Bar. Registration costs G. 100,000, with a painting kit available for G. 85,000.

Adventure activities such as paragliding, mountain biking, and hiking through the hills, especially on Cerro Hũ, complete the tourist offering, providing panoramic views of the region. Those interested in reservations can contact the number 0981 432 771.
