Paraguay's international airports recorded the highest passenger traffic of the year in July, with 122,447 boardings and deboardings, according to data from the National Directorate of Civil Aviation (Dinac). Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Luque accounted for 95% of the flow, with 61,547 departures and 60,900 arrivals. Another 818 passengers passed through Guaraní International Airport in Minga Guazú.
Dinac president Nelson Mendoza stated that the numbers reflect the recovery of the air sector in the country. In addition to passengers, landing and takeoff operations also grew: Silvio Pettirossi recorded 4,093 movements, while Guaraní accounted for 654, totaling 4,747 operations for the month.
Air cargo traffic remains dynamic, although Dinac has not released specific volumes for July. Goods transportation complements the passenger flow and reinforces the importance of the terminals as logistics hubs.
The concentration of traffic at Silvio Pettirossi consolidates its position as Paraguay's main air gateway, while the sector seeks to maintain the recovery pace after periods of lower demand.
